When success matters, enterprises can hardly survive without a systematic and well-organized enterprise-wide usage of information and communications technology. This is still a big opportunity for ICT vendors and service providers. However, a profound knowledge of the ICT markets has become more important than ever. What are the specific demands of which industry? Which enterprises have already decided for one technology and vendor or another? Which volume will planned investments amount to, in total or with regard to certain applications? Which vendors or service providers have what share of the market? From our long-term experience in observing and investigating the ICT markets in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, TechConsult has developed the eAnalyzer, whose data base provides answers to questions like the above in an easy-to-use fashion as an internet application. The project in figureseAnalyzer is currently the most comprehensive research program on ICT topics in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Every year, more than 10 analysts, 60 interviewers, and 4 statisticians are contributing to updating its data base. The survey's sample regularly comprises 4,000 enterprises and 7,000 interview partners, all of them in charge of ICT. The inevitable drop-outs are filled with replacements from the same segment, thus keeping the results stable and comparable. The questionnaire is covering more than 100 products and is adapted to reflect technological changes every year. The same holds for changes in the enterprise structure in the countries covered, where special care is taken to keep results comparable to previous years. The data pool of eAnalyzer with approximately one million single figures makes the ICT landscape not only transparent, but measurable and comprehensible. Easy selection, quick answersThe quantitative area of eAnalyzer provides access to figures on ICT spendings, units installed and shipped, market penetration and investment intentions. The relevant figures can be selected quickly and easily by checking the respective boxes. The ICT products and services from the areas of hardware, software, communications, services, and connection fees are drilled down hierarchically in several layers. Customers are differentiated by country, 7 verticals and 43 subverticals, 7 classes of enterprise sizes, and regions. All figures are available for several years, from the recent past to a two-year forecast. The figures requested are delivered within seconds and can be easily be exported to Excel for further processing. Several formatting options are available to adapt the result to the question under consideration. For a consolidated view on the results obtained, eAnalyzer's qualitative area provides additional studies, industry reports, trend analyses, and recent news. Flexible licensing modelsDepending on the customer's needs, an annual license may be obtained according to the coverage of data to be made available. Alternatively, the new pay-per-click mode allows for invoicing precisely the data volume requested. For a hands-on experience of eAnalyzer, we are offering free demo access. Quality supervised by expertsTo assure the high quality of eAnalyzer's content, a panel advisory committee has been established upon starting the project back in 1999. The advisory committee is meeting twice a year in order to assess the contents of questionnaires and the structure and sizing of samples. The panel advisory committee is formed by executives from the following enterprises and research institutes:
